The Innovation Port Campus of Xi’an Jiaotong University is located in Xixian New Area. It is the school’s core strategic area for the future, integrating “campus, park, and community”. The swimming pool area of the campus swimming pool is 50m × 21m, with a total volume of 1785m³, with customized water treatment equipment and professional construction services provided by LASWIM.


Water circulation and treatment solutions
When designing the water circulation scheme for this swimming pool, LASWIM adopted a countercurrent water circulation method. It was planned to complete one cycle every 4 hours, with a flow rate of 491m³/h to ensure clean and safe water quality. In terms of water treatment, LASWIM employed a horizontal sand filtration system, supplemented by an automatic flocculant dosing system, significantly enhancing the filtration efficiency. Additionally, it combined the dual-mode “chlorine+full-flow ozone disinfection” system to ensure efficient and stable water quality.
Advantages of countercurrent circulation:
Effectively removes the dirt and impurities on the surface of the pool water.
Evenly spaced water inlets on the pool bottom ensure even water flow, effectively preventing vortices, short circuits, and dead zones.
It carries out the water replacement work evenly and effectively, replacing untreated water with purified, clean water.
It ensures uniform water quality across different water layers and areas of the pool.

Constant temperature and air treatment
Considering the high flow rate of the circulation and the climate conditions in Xi’an, the project utilizes a low-temperature type air-source heat pump specifically for swimming pools, which not only heats the pool water but also maintains a constant temperature. At the same time, it is equipped with the LASWIM multi-functional dehumidification heat pump to achieve constant temperature, humidity and energy-saving operation.
Its advantages include:
It recovers the humid hot air and condense it for dehumidification, enhancing comfort and preventing condensation corrosion.
It utilizes waste heat to heat the pool water and reheat the air, thereby strengthening energy efficiency.
For every 1kW of electricity consumed, 3kW-4kW of heat energy can be recovered.
It automatically switches between heating, cooling, dehumidification, ventilation and other modes according to the season.
